Knee Pain

The knees are unfortunately a commonly injured joint in many sports. They are also a common sight for degenerative joint disease (aka osteoarthritis). It is important to note the difference between traumatic knee pain, and non-traumatic knee pain. Knee pain without trauma (no injury), usually accumulates over time from muscular imbalances or poor shock absorption. Sports injuries that damage ligaments or other structures in the knee are treated differently.

It is our goal to find the root cause of a painful knee, and take the proper steps to relieve the pain, and rehab the knee. We can evaluate the knee structurally and refer for MRI or other imaging if necessary. Many serious injuries can be treated conservatively, while others may require surgery. Make sure to get a consult to understand your full treatment options.
